Braverman Kitchens, St Albans Road

Hurrah for Braverman – a showroom that actually looks like it means business from the smart frontage to the well-lit displays and the salesman was happy to stand up and talk me through the products.

Hacker and Schuller kitchens were attractively arranged with suitable props. There was a white handleless design with orange glass splashback and colour changing strip light under the worktop and a classy deep blue display with glass-fronted doors.

I was admiring this when Jamie joined me. He pulled out door samples, explained how I could mix and match colours and talked about the merits of quartz versus granite worktops. “We’ll come out to measure up and bring a few door samples,” he said.  Before I left, Jamie handed me a brochure marking the kitchen door styles I had expressed an interest in.
